I recently made my ‘speaking debut’ at the MFL Show and Tell event in Cramlington. I spoke about using Blockbusters in the MFL Classroom as a great plenary activity and general revision tool.
The original template was created by a TES user called randomgirly, I take no credit for the creation of it, I just use it!
You can download my presentation and Powerpoint slide that you can just copy and paste into any Powerpoint presentation here: MFLSat Blockbusters.
It’s a really easy version to do. Ensure Macros are enabled (normally, a little box will popping up asking if you want to enable them, yes, yes, you do. Edit the text boxes and run the presentation. When you click on the block it changes colour. Unfortunately, if you move on from that slide, it doesn’t save any progress, so don’t!
I have used it for loads of things, but I recommend using full words as one lesson I’d used the traditional first letter of the word and then lost my answer sheet and got in a right kerfuffle! I got some feedback from a fellow MFL teacher on Twitter saying that the avoir/être slide created a whole revision lesson for her, it really can take ten minutes or a full lesson!
